The Petisos is a solar concentrator belonging to the drake class. It comes equipped with a single parabolic reflector measuring 100cm by 175cm. The focal point and contertop are only 90cm off the ground.

Coutertop and shelves

A heat source isn't the only thing you need to cook your favorite meals. You'll also need some space to cut, measure, peel, roll, pour, chop, set aside, scrub, marinate etc. That's why the Petisos carries a countertop and shelves. Countertop

Low focal point

The focal point sits at a mere 90cm off the ground, the same height as the stove in a typical kitchen.

Wind block

Each focus is protected by walls to block the wind and especially its detrimental cooling effect. At the same time, these walls keep in the solar heat channeled up by the reflector, further reducing heat loss from your pot. Windblock

Lightdoor

With our simple lightdoor, you can close the aperture before removing the pot, and thus eliminate any risk of receiving reflected sun rays in your eyes.

Dismantlable

Once built, the Petisos can be dismantled for storage or transport. It's components fit and slide together for a speedy assembly - we're talking about less than one minute! The reflector is the largest single component, and it is somewhat cumbersome to transport, requiring a pickup, van or station wagon.
